The famous French-Swiss architect Le Corbusier approached the house as a machine for living. His ideas were an important source of inspiration for the reconstruction architecture of Rotterdam after WW2. The Lijnbaan Flats formed an important part in this.
Inspired by Le Corbusier's approach I decomposed one of the Lijnbaan Flats (my home) by making series of framed observations.
In this way I exposed the mechanical nature of the flat. At the same time it becomes clear that the machine has come to exhibit human traits over the years.
